Venturers

The Venturers programme is for girls and boys aged 14-18 years. They meet on Tuesdays from 6pm – 8pm.

Venturers take an active role in the group.  Providing leadership and mentoring for the younger group members.

Venturers develop their own programmes – from vocational activities developing self-confidence, to leadership courses and teambuilding exercises. A progressive award scheme enables Venturers to extend their range of skills and earn certificates that lead towards the King Scout Award and the Duke of Edinburgh / Young New Zealander’s Challenge Gold Award. 

They can also attend Jamboree supporting our Scouts and helping with the running of the Jamboree programme, as well as participating during many Regattas that we are invited to throughout the year.
