Track progress on Mahi Tahi
Our members use Scouts Aotearoa’s Mahi Tahi app to view the term programme, respond to event invites, and track their personal progression through the Scouting journey.

Mahi Tahi for Young People
It is designed to empower young people to take ownership of their own personal progression, to lead their own journey, and to make the most out of their time in Scouts. The platform is available as an app (iOS and Android) and online at mahitahi.scouts.nz
Mahi Tahi for Kaiārahi (leaders)
Only police-checked Kaiārahi have access to Mahi Tahi. Leaders use it differently from youth members.
For leaders, Mahi Tahi is the resource used to manage members and events. Specifically, Kaiārahi use it to:
- Manage membership — once a member registers on Mahi Tahi, they are placed on the group’s member list and receive an invitation to complete contact and health details.
- Run events — create events and send invites to members (though the events functionality is noted by some groups as still being cumbersome, with improvements promised)
- Access programme resources — Mahi Tahi includes lots of resources to help create a youth programme, as well as how-to guides and Scouts NZ policies
- Communicate safely — Mahi Tahi was built to ensure one-on-one conversations cannot be had, with thorough content filters and flagging abilities for anything inappropriate
- Replace older systems — Mahi Tahi has replaced Online Scout Manager (OSM) as the central admin tool
