We do a lot of fundraising to keep our group going but it takes a lot to keep a group our size going. Along with our hall’s (the “Ship”) maintenance costs we also add the cost of maintaining and upgrading our water craft equipment (sailboats -cutters and sunbursts, and our rescue boat) that our children use during training sessions at Orewa Beach, and also representing our group at Regattas around New Zealand. Plus regularly updating our camping equipment (tents, kitchen stuff, trailers, etc) when it starts getting worn and we’re no longer able to repair them.
