The Orewa Sea Scouts Hall (known as the “Ship”) is available for hire weekdays (day time only outside our meeting times) and on weekends (Strictly no alcohol on premises and we do not cater for Weddings, 21st birthday or graduations).
Our hall is ideal for kids birthday parties where no alcohol is being consumed, community groups meetings, fitness groups lessons, school groups, and small family gatherings. Overnight activities like Scout Groups’ sleepovers/camps or any weekend scouting activities (daytime only) require our GL’s approval.
The Ship is large and spacious and with its direct access to the beach and Arundel Reserve makes it an ideal location for your function.
We have the following amenities and equipment:
- Kitchen facilities include oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, basic utensils and crockery
- Separate Boys & Girls bathrooms
- Trestle tables and chairs to seat 50 people
- Whiteboard
- White wall for projector
- Max capacity: 50 people
Hire charges are used to help sponsor youth places within the group.

Please be aware that we do not accept bookings that are conflicting with our sections meeting times (weekdays after school hours).
Priority will be given to other community organisations, Scout Groups, Girl Guides, and families of active Orewa Sea Scouts Members.
