Scouts

The Scouts section is for girls and boys ages 11 – 14 years. They can attend Jamboree, Regattas and do more demanding activities. The Scouts section is more youth-driven than the Keas or Cubs.

Scouts meet on Wednesdays from 6pm until 8pm. 

Scouts learn all about water safety, basic sailing and rowing skills in 18ft open cutters and sunburst yachts. We compete regularly in sailing regattas as well. In addition to this, Scouts participate in a program of the more general Scouting activities.

Trial Nights:  Once you’re invited for trial visits, you are welcome to try out Scouts for 3 consecutive weeks before deciding if you would like to join up (although you are welcome to join immediately without trialling).

Waitlist: Current waitlist is very long. About 3 to 4 school Terms waiting time after submitting your membership application and accepting terms and conditions. No waiting time ONLY IF Parent/Guardian volunteers to become a Scout Leader. (Last updated Feb.2024)
